• BEEAM (Broadening Engagement through Engineering at MIT)
  • This is a year-round high school education and research program
  • Emphasizes community/professional development within the accepted cohort of students
  • High school students send applications to the BEEAM director, they pass those on to interested PIs/Departments, they select a handful of students to interview, then the student starts working in the lab from Summer through the next Spring
  • Requires mentorship committment on your/the PIs part, as well as funds to pay the student for their work
